1st day : Hotel (Seoul) - Rest in highway - Mt.Seorak National Park - Gweongeumseong Fortress (by cable car) - Shinheungsa Temple - Lunch - Domgnyeong Port (fish market) - Yeonggeumjeong - Light House Observatory - (Dinner) - Hotel check-in (Sokcho)

2nd day : Breakfast - to Yongpyeong or Phoenix Park Ski Resort - stop by ski shop for rental - Enjoy snow or skiing - Check-in Condo (in ski resort)

3rd day : Check-out Condo - Enjoy snow or skiing - stop by ski shop to restore - to Seoul - Korean Ginseng Center - Hotel (Seoul)

* 1st day, we will pick you up at the accommodation in Seoul and go to Mt.Seorak National Park via highway (takes 2 hour 40 minutes)
* Take cable car to visit Gweongeumseong Fortress which is made by stones in Joseon dynasty
* down to park and visit Shinheungsa Temple to see the big bronze Buddha statue
* Lunch with Korean Traditional menu or fish
* Go to the Yeongguemjeong Pavilion with a great view of East Sea and Light House observatory beside of Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion
* Visit fish market in Dongmyeong Port by walk (5 minutes) and you can take a walk to the small light house at the end of long seawall toward the sea
* Have a dinner by yourself (not included) on the way to the hotel. The guide will find a proper restaurant for you as your preference
* check-in the hotel (3+ class hotel, included breakfast) near seaside and take a rest
* 2nd day, after breakfast (included) and to Yongpyeong Ski Resort
* Stop by ski shop to rent gears or optional items and arrival at ski resort
* Enjoy snow or skiing with basic ski lesson and ski lift (included, half-day pass) to down the slope

▶ Information of Tourist Attraction

  • 경복궁

    Referred to as Seolsan and Seolbongsan, the mountain was named Seorak because the snow would not melt for a long time keeping the rocks in a permanent state of white. In November 1965, the Seorak Mountain district was designated as a Natural Monument preservation area. Afterwards in December 1973, it was designated as a park preservation area, and in August 1982, as a Biosphere Preservation District by UNESCO.

    Gweongeumseong Fortress is the site of a castle ruins called Mt. Seorak, and it is also known as Mt. Onggeumsan Castle, or Toto Castle. It is located on the steep Dol Mountain of Mt. Seoraksan Sogongwon area. It is believed to have been built by the 23rd King of the Goryeo Period (918~1392), Gojong (1213~1259 reign).

    It is also called Gweon-Kim Castle, as there is a legend that two generals named Gweon and Kim built the castle to avoid war.

    Shinheungsa Temple is a short 10 minute walk away from the entrance to Sogongwon and in fact, many people visit because of its close proximity to Sogongwon.
    Shinheungsa is a temple which used to be called Hyangseongsa, built by Jajangyulsa (590~658), who traveled to famous mountains all over the nation, in Queen Jindeok's (?~654) 6TH year of reign.

    It was destroyed and rebuilt many times since.

    Located on the northern of Sokcho are the many raw fish restaurants and dried fish shops of Dongmyeong Port. This bustling port has become one of the most popular tourist spots for those in search of the freshest raw fish restaurants. At Dongmyeong Port it is said that Mt.Seorak and the East Sea are gifts from nature. The port is filled with raw fish restaurants and a live fish market containing eel, flatfish, flounder, yellowtail, and plethora of other high-end seafood.

    For raw fish lovers that are in the Sokcho area, Dongmyeong Port is the place to be. Also there is seawall which is 1km distance from port to the lighthouse, where is good to take a walk and enjoy the view. From Dongmyeong Port, the Dongchun Cruise is sailing to Hunchun (China) via Zarubino (Russia) as Mt. Baek-du route since 28TH April 2000.
  • 수문장교대식

    Located at the entrance of Dongmyeong Port, Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion is often visited by citizens of Sokcho as it has great view and close from the city. Actually, you cannot find pavilion at Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion since it is a stone mountain.

    It received its name from the mysterious and beautiful sound that is made as waves hit the rock, which it is similar to Korean lute, Geomungo. At the end of the 50m-long bridge built over a rocky peninsula is a Sunrise Pavilion offering a view of the East Sea and you can enjoy surrounding sceneries and wave sounds.

    The Sokcho Lighthouse Observatory provides fantastic views of the nearby Mt.Seorak, East Sea and Sokcho area. The most breathtaking views are the ocean vistas.

    The white lighthouse has a romantic atmosphere to it. Inside the lighthouse, binoculars are available to view distant points of interest. This area is also famous for its sunrises.
  • 경복궁

    The Yongpyeong Resort is located at a very inhabitable range of 700 meters above sea level. Yongpyeong Resort is found at the eastern edge of Asia, about 200km from Seoul with an annual snowfall average of 250cm. The surrounding area possesses a beautiful environment, which allows for the enjoyment of a wide array of winter sports including skiing from mid-November to early April. Not only that, but the resort’s enormous seventeen million square meters complex includes a 45-hole golf course, gondolas, swimming pool, and other facilities. This all-season recreational complex allows visitors to escape from daily life and relax. Yongpyeong Resort has an impressive twenty-eight ski slopes, including the popular Rainbow Slopes, and offers excellent facilities for skiers. The park’s fifteen ski-lifts include a 3.7km cable-car and the resort's ‘Dragon Plaza’ is the largest ski complex in Asia, offering a variety of services for skiers and boarders. The Yongpyeong Resort was born in 1975 as the first ever modern facility of its kind in South Korea. It is known as "Korea's Ski Mecca" with a growing reputation as an internationally-renowned resort.


  • 경복궁

    With a 5-star hotel, high-rise condominium buildings, ski-slopes, and top-class golf courses, the mountain peak recreational complex of Phoenix Park Resort provides various recreational and amusement facilities for a great vacation. The resort is located approximately 2 hour from Seoul in Pyeongchang, a county in Gangwon province. Pyeongchang is a major winter sports region in Korea and it has been declared as the host city of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Phoenix Park has become one of Korea’s most famous resort complexes since its appearance in the extremely popular drama ‘Winter Sonata’. The resort has a total of 17 slopes including Aerial and Mogul, four of which are approved by the FIS (International Ski Federation), and has superb snow quality. Particularly popular is the ‘Panorama Slope’, which is at an impressive 2.2km length and has an average width of 46m. Eight ski lifts, state-of-the-art gondolas, and six conveyer belts transport visitors around the park quickly and efficiently.
